ArrayPower

Technology Overview

The ArrayPower Sequenced Inverter™ delivers an entirely new approach to AC power inversion and offers vast improvements over central, string and microinverters at a fraction of the cost. With this breakthrough technology, ArrayPower has redefined the AC inverter to create a simpler, safer, more rugged and cost-effective way to generate solar power.

Unlike competing technologies, the sequenced inverter is designed to distribute the inverter function across all equipped AC modules in a system. The output of each AC module is pulsed and combined across an array to create grid-ready power. The result is a simpler, more flexible system architecture that yields the ability to generate high-quality, three-phase AC power with no additional equipment.

To develop its power conversion process, ArrayPower drew on established technologies from the telecommunications industry. The company uses proven industrial-grade electronics that are readily manufacturable and scalable, relying on Moore’s Law to integrate components and improve power generation performance over time.

The ArrayPower Sequenced Inverter is helping to drive down the Leveled Cost of Energy (LCOE) for solar systems, as evidenced in field trials currently taking place around the world. ArrayPower has been granted a total of six patents, with an additional 37 in process. The company is dedicated to building strong relationships with technology and manufacturing partners to help advance the state of the art in solar power.
