ArrayPower Recognized as an Emerging Solar Power Electronics Leader

Sunnyvale, Calif. – March 15, 2012 – ArrayPower, a Silicon Valley-based power electronics company and the developer of the Sequenced Inverter, has been recognized as an emerging leader in the solar power electronics industry by various solar industry and business organizations. The company has received one leadership award and has been selected as a finalist for two prestigious industry awards:

  • Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal “2012 Women of Influence” Award: Wendy Arienzo, ArrayPower CEO, was honored as one of the leading female executives in the Silicon Valley/San Jose region. Past “Women of Influence” include the chairwoman of Intel Corp., the former president of eBay, the chairperson of Mozilla and the chief technical officer at Cisco Systems Inc.
  • EE Times/EDN 2012 UBM Electronics ACE Awards finalist for “Startup of the Year”: Honoring the best of the best in today’s electronics industry, the 2012 UBM Electronics ACE Awards select companies that are on the leading edge of new technologies. ArrayPower was selected alongside only four other startups.
  • 2012 TechCrunch Crunchies Awards runner-up for “Cleantech Startup of the Year”: With over 300,000 nominations in 20 categories, the TechCrunch Crunchies Awards recognize the best technology companies in their industries. ArrayPower was chosen as the runner-up in the “Cleantech Startup of the Year” category.

Designed to meet the unique needs of the commercial-scale solar market, the ArrayPower Sequenced Inverter converts the DC power produced by solar modules into grid-ready, three-phase AC power. The technology is fully integrated into modules during the manufacturing process, enabling cost reductions across the supply chain while enhancing ease of installation with a plug-and-play AC module.

In addition to receiving award recognition, ArrayPower executives have been selected to speak at three major industry events – one local to the San Francisco Bay Area and two international conferences.

Kris Jernstedt, vice president of sales, spoke at the SolarTech Solar Leadership Summit in San Jose on Mar. 8 about best practices. On May 17, Nick Cravalho, vice president of business development, will present a session entitled “Inverter Strategies: An Overlooked Factor in the Solar Cost Equation” at the SNEC 2012 PV Power Expo in Shanghai, China. The following month, on June 13, Arienzo will present at a “Balance of Systems” session at Intersolar Europe in Munich, Germany.
